MISSION 16B-2: ELECTRIC DREAMS
Operation Bellissima - Part 3-2
Attack on the Enemy’s Elementary Particle Lab

*Note:* You must have destroyed the two B-2 bombers in mission 15B for this mission to be available.

Briefing:
"Following our attack on the enemy garrison, we have confirmed the destruction of a communications plane belonging to their elementary particle lab. Your objective this time is to destroy the lab. This will be no easy task, as the lab is surrounded by a strong anti-aircraft missile network. According to the information we have received in this emergency situation, the anti-aircraft missile facilities are installed underground, and are indestructible. However, their guidance system is not very reliable, and it is possible to evade them by circling very quickly.

Target: The enemy’s elementary particle lab

You will be in constant danger of missile attack while you are on this mission.

Stay calm, and avoid those missiles!"

Primary Taregt(s):
8 x Ground Targets: Elementary Particle Lab “Pancake”

Secondary Target(s):
4 x SF-37 Viggen (Top Gun)
2 x A-10A Thunderbolt II (Top Gun)
2 x EF-2000 Typhoon (Top Gun)
8 x RAH-66 Comanche

Any idea as of why the hell you need to destroy a particle accelerator to help win the war?

You got me. Maybe it's just for fun of watching something big and complex blow up.

This is probably totally wrong, but... maybe they were trying to build a laser? ADF-01F for the win!

In all seriousness, it was probably just another facility they couldn't take by storming into the place.

"Heroes who shed their blood and lost their lives! You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours. You, the mothers, who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well."

They were close to discovering the Higgs-Boson. With it they might have learned to control gravity! It was absolutely necessary to stop it....otherwise they might have had gravity defying enormous airplanes.....like every other Ace Combat!

Pic be mine....
