Chandelier Cruise Missile
- Estovakia's Last Resort -

- CCM Image A - CCM Image B - CCM Image C - CCM Image D - CCM Image E - CCM Image F -

Overview:
The cruise missiles seen in missions 14 and 15 are a special type of cruise missile, developed by Estovakia. These missiles are special due to their unique style of deployment. Multiple missiles are packed into a single container which itself is held within a bullet-shaped shell, called the 'Stauros' and are launched from a gigantic rail-gun. Once the Stauros reaches the target airspace; the container breaks open releasing the missiles, the cruise missiles then activate their engines and fly towards their targets.

Combat Deployment:
Following the Emmerian military's successful recapture of the capital; Gracemeria, from occupying Estovakian forces, the Emmerians had begun celebrating their hard-earned victory. Estovakia however soon launched a surprise assault on the city with a barrage of cruise missiles fired from the rail gun Chandelier. Despite the intensity of the attacks, the Emmerians were successful in destroying all the missiles before they could do any significant damage to the city. Later, Emmerian forces launched an attack of their own to destroy the source of the missiles and bring the attacks to an end.

That Stauros missile... Looks like a clip of a M1 Garand, but with the cruise missiles instead.

Is "Stauros" the name of the chutes used in the Chandelier loading or the name of the missiles themselves? I can't remember correctly because I'm a PS3 fanboy now.

Nothing big, the chute just vanishes in an explosion.

That warhead looks so hugeass.. I want to make a model of it lol. I'll try to make one out of styrofoam or plastic, btw. The Supply Sub model I'm making is currently on hold.

I will say this, 'City Lights' was a great mission (bar that certain line of dialogue by Shamrock)with an awesome track. And for some reason, hearing the Chandelier operator countdown was kind of cool~

Yep, I knew they looked alot like the UAV-45. Personally, I think the twin engine the missile mounts is a tad redundant for something that is carried by the Stauros that can travel pretty much anywhere in the world.

Yeah it did put some atmosphere into the battle. I remember failing that mission once if you didn't destroy all the cooling units in time.

The missiles seem to be big as a fuselage of a Boeing 707.

They can't be that large. Last time I flew into one with a Raptor, they appeared to be longer than the F-22. Mind running some tests?
