SPECIAL WEAPONS

Ace Combat 5 introduces new special weapons to the series, but each aircraft is limited to a single special weapon.

New Weapons:
ECMP: Electronic Counter Measure Pod. This allows the player to jam the enemy's radar for a short amount of time. During that time, they cannot be hit by missiles.

LAGM: Long-Ranged Air to Ground Missile. A large missile which devastates its targeted area.

SAAM: Semi-Active Air-to-Air Missile. This missiles works by keeping an enemy aircraft within a designated missile-tracking circle. The missile has a good range with great manoeuvrability.

SFFS: Self-Forging Fragmentation System. An advanced bomb which can turn itself into large pieces of shrapnel, over a large area. The higher it is dropped, the wider the affected area is.

TLS: Tactical Laser System. A laser which has pin-point accuracy and unrivalled destructive power. It is only found on the ADF-01F in AC5.

ACCREDITATION:
