1987 - 1994

Fato was formed in 1987, during the Belkan Law Review, when the North-East State of Belka broke away from the Belkan Federation. The territory was split into multiple small nations, which had chosen their capital as the city of Mons. These nations were reffered to as the FATO Nations.

In 1991, land was sold to the FATO Nations, Sapin and Ustio by Belka. The Belkan Troops stationed in those areas soon returned to their land. In 1994, four days after the Rald Party took hold in Belka, Recta and Gebet are formed with the new land gathered from the Belkan Federation. Ratio also gains more lands across it's Western Border and Ustio gains the resource rich B7R region. Though the other countries had become independent from the FATO Nations, one territory remained. It had adopted the name of Fato.

The Belkan War
1995

In 1995 Belka unexpectedly crossed their borders and began to invade the countries around them. Osea, Recta, Ustio, Sapin, Gebet and Ratio all came under attack by the Belkan Military in someway and each had fought back. Of the few countries that did not lose any land Fato was one of them. The Fato Military had a force capable of defending their own borders.

However, this all changed when Fato began to sustain heavy losses. An example of this can be seen on March 27th, 1995, when the Belkan Air Force 51st Tactical Fighter Squadron ‘Indigo’ of the 7th Air Division, had engaged Fato’s 122nd Tactical Fighter Squadron of the their 3rd Air Division. The battle took place over the Belka–Gebet border and resulted in Fato losing nine F-14D Super Tomcats in less than five minutes. Fato was eventually forced out of the war by the rapid Belkan advance.
