Summary
The Republic of Kaluga is located on the Yuktobanian Continent. It is one of two other nations which saw great conflict in the late 1980s, against Yuktobania. The Republic of Kaluga was the first to enter combat with Yuktobanian Forces in 1986 during the Tyumen Dispute. In the bloodiest battle of the dispute, the Battle Dimitr, the Yuktobanian 112th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the 9th Air Division managed to destroy all Kalugan North-Branch Fighter Squadrons at the loss of 80% of their forces. After this operation and a second operation within Romny, many pilots had suffered mental anguish and left the military. The remaining pilots became mercenaries and scattered through out the continent.
