IMO, Chopper wasn't funny at all.. He was just as much of a whiner as the rest of the bunch.

Am I the only one who doesn't see the logic of crash-landing in a stadium rather than the water? Also I hated Chopper more than the rest of Wardog because of the reasons stated by Ribbon-Crimson. Honestly, his vain attempts at humor annoyed me more than Nagase's hippie-rambling and Grimm wetting himself 24/7. For that matter, why does everyone in Wardog go on about how awful war is and continue to kill more people than anybody else in Osea or Yuktobania? For example, in the Sea of Chaos alone the fleets you sink contain several thousand people each. And who knows how many crewmen were on the Scinfaxi/Hrimfaxi?

That would have made better sense... After all, if he would have ditched his plane in the river, the impact might have jarred the canopy loose allowing him to escape.. But alas, Then we would have had to listen to Chopper's useless attempts at humor and his incessant whining throughout the remainder of the game.

Maybe the developers thought that his whining what too much and decided to give the gamer some relief. laugh.gif

I take him over Grim or Nagase, he doesn't whine as much and he was a good comic relief in the game. Also if he had crash in the river he would have drown to dead remember his canopy was stuck, if anything he should have RTB and let the rest of Wardog Sqd finish the job.

Let's go back to the Mobius way of doing things... all by your lonesome. No whining there.

Yeah, and RTBing is REAL easy when Sand Island could be thousands of miles away with a critically damaged plane...hell, if this was reality, no plane would even withstand one missile and be remotely intact.
But yeah, at least blowing himself up is instant and painless instead of drowning.

What if his landing gear is jammed?? Then he would crash on the runway and prevent the Wardogs from landing... Better off crashing into the stadium...

Think of it this way - Namco wants a plot twist, Namco gets one.

Sounds like Namco signed a merger with Capcom...

Nemo is a computer. Nuff said. Ever played a game with an unbalanced AI that can snipe you from the other side of the map using a pistol and makes you rage? That's Nemo.

How is that? What's the tie-in?

Maybe it was also because apart form the heavy damage that his plane recived and the systems malfunction, he could have been injured with a mortal wound, maybe by a derib, I've reciently played this mission and when he talks, it sound like he is in much pain, and was having trouble to breath, so knowing that you would die anyway, what do you expect?

I think the pain was more emotional than physical... he was facing inescapable death, which is trauma to the extreme. He wasn't badly injured by the hit.

I was joking about Capcom's frequent plot twists in Resident Evil.
