Overview:
The F-14D Super Tomcat was the final and most potent variation of the F-14A, and featured a few upgrades that increased its performance and fighting capabilities. The systems installed were important because it "digitized" the F-14's control inputs and could be used to protect the pilot from overstressing the airframe due to extreme manoeuvres. Another electronic upgrade the F-14D was given was a "glass cockpit," meaning that the dials and instruments of the cockpit consisted of computer screens rather than analog dials. New GE F110-400 engines were installed, providing thrust and reliability.

The Super Tomcat was easily the most modern, most well-equipped, and overall best F-14 that was ever produced by Grumman. However, that didn't stop it from growing old and tired by the early 21st century, when increasingly common mechanical problems and electronic glitches led to skyrocketing maintenance costs, eventually forcing the Navy and U.S. government to officially retire all F-14 variants in September of 2006. As of the time of this posting, the Iranian Air Force owns the only active F-14s. All retired F-14 aircraft have been mothballed at the Davis-Monthan "Boneyard."

Did anyone else have a little trouble getting Valet? IMO, he was the hardest ace to unlock.

Tell me about it. Getting him to appear is one thing, then you have to deal with the Stovie pretty-boy Pasternak and his friggin ADMMs and UAV swarm.

I'm not sure if this works or not but to kill that SOB quickly is to wait for the chance when he takes off and BAM.But he was one worthy opponent if got in the air.It was a pain facing Pasternak,The Infinite UAVs, and Valet at the same time. They got me 7 times.

Wait. Where do you see Juno? Oh, and by the way, The F-14d doesn't have NPBs in AC6. You might want to change that. It only has XLAAs, SAAMs, and GPBs in AC6.

It's likely from a download map. NPBs edited.

Valet is pretty easy to kill, actually. She'll take off from the aircraft carrier in the harbor after or during the close of operation D in Mission 13. As long as you hold a position above the carrier, you should see her take off and be able to nail her as she increases her speed. Don't let her get the drop on you, though.

It's not really Valet that's hard to kill, it's dealing with Pasternak and his annoying-as-heck UAVs.

You can kill her before Pasternak shows up, though.

Really? I was almost positive Valet was a female...I remember reading about some sort of female pilot in AC6's Estovakian Assault records. Maybe I need to check again. Sorry. huh.gif

Stupid me...
