YELLOW 4
AC4 - Yellow 13’s wing-mate

Personal Information:
Name: Unknown
Rank: ?
Call Sign: Yellow 4
Nationality: Erusean
Age: ?
Sex: Female
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black (long)

Aircraft: SU-37 Flanker-F "Terminator"
Status: Killed In Action (Stonehenge, April 2nd 2005, Op. Stone Crusher)

Biography:
Little information is available about Yellow 04, the only female pilot in the Aquila Wing. She originally met Yellow 13 as a young woman and he would later train her to become a fighter pilot. Over time they developed a strong bond. During the Continental War, she and Yellow Squadron were stationed in the occupied country of San Salvacion.

Yellow 04 always flew Yellow 13's wing, taking part in every sortie the wing leader did. Yellow 04 drew the ire of a daughter of a local barkeep, who harbored feelings for Yellow 13. 13, however, seemed oblivious to this.

As the Allies pushed farther into the Usean continent, insurgent attacks increased. One attack resulted in the destruction of almost all of the squadron's reserve fuel and supplies. Yellow 04's plane was especially in need of repairs, but on April 2nd 2005, she and the rest of Yellow Squadron were forced to sortie to defend Stonehenge. By the time they arrived, Stonehenge had been destroyed. The squadron then engaged the unit that destroyed Stonehenge, the Mobius Squadron. During the battle, Yellow 04 was shot down. She was unable to eject, and was killed.

Something worth considering. While 13 is a common bad luck number in the west, 4 (or any number ending in 4) is a bad luck number in Asian contries.

Correction... she is smoking, but in a crater in the ground. You see, pilots who crash have a habit of doing that.

Clever. I don't think it would be quite fair to label her a martyr for the Erusean cause, though.

Unless she died screaming "FOR THE MOTHER/FATHERLAND!!", smashing her plane into the terrified side of Mobius 1 (which is impossible, because he can't be intimidated) there's not much reason to call her a "martyr."

Well, she symbolized the lost innocence of the Erusean cause, having died defending a pilfered civilian project.

yep. in japan and china, the number 4 and the word for death share the same pronunciation. in both the number 4 is considered an unlucky number. in more ancient times, the japanese would often refer to things in groups of four as "two and two", or perform four actions with a pause in the middle to break them up, rather than have four of anything.

in japan, the pilot having the callsign "Yellow 4" probably would have been seen as foreshadowing.
