Biography:
Commander Nicholas A. Andersen's life before 2010 was unknown, but in the Circum-Pacific War, he was known as a delightful, modest, and compassionate leader. Andersen's credibility of leading in sea battles was unquestionable, seeing that he had faced many similar battles in the past with his fleet. He was well respected and trusted by his crews and was willing to do anything as long as the crew under his command remain safe. Like the many others in Osea, he seemed to have a profound interest in the song “Journey Home”. In one such example, he had the song playing on record in the middle of a sea battle.
Andersen was the commander of one of Osea’s most prominent naval groups, the 3rd Naval Fleet. Among the crews, he was branded as “The Father of the Osean Navy”. During the war, he captained the Kestrel, an aircraft carrier that doubled as the flagship of the 3rd Fleet. He first appeared in the mission Narrow Margin in Port St. Hewlett while his fleet was under attack. Fortunately, he successfully managed to escape to open water despite heavy resistance from Yuktobanian air forces and naval craft. Several days later, he stayed with Kestrel to rendezvous with other carriers in Eaglin Straits before his fellow carriers, the Buzzard and the Vulture were sunk by powerful burst-missiles launched from the Scinfaxi, a massive submarine/aircraft carrier. Prior to the next encounter, he led the fleet to Kirwin Island, getting ready and setting up with Wardog Squadron.
He, with Yuktobanian Prime Minister Nikanor on-board, also became major role participating in Operation Sea of Chaos in encountering full-scale naval attack from Yuktobanian Navy and some escort fighters, even though the Kestrel was later sunk by anti-ship missile fire from a Yuktobanian submarine. Despite losing his flagship, he and his crews managed to escape using inflatable rescue boats. He continued on after the war, and his great endeavor for his country will not be forgotten.
