Biography:
Michael "Ofnir 1" Heimeroth was a graduate of the Kellerman Institution, a flight school for top notch Belkan Pilots instructed by Belkan ace Dietrich Kellerman.
When war broke out, Heimeroth was assigned to the 5th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the 6th Belkan Air Division. Despite a short career in the air, Heimeroth still managed to shoot down 25 aircraft by the end of the war. His squadron was one of many which engaged the Allied Forces during "Operation Battle Axe", over Airspace B7R. It was here that he had engaged the Ustian 6th Air Division's 66th Air Force Unit 'Galm' and was shot down soon afterwards. At the end of the war, Heimeroth left the Belkan Air Force and became a pilot in the Yuktobanian Air Force, one of the two superpowers that had a hand in Belka's downfall.
During his years in the YAF, Michael Heimeroth had managed completely disappear. It wasn't until the outbreak of the Circum-Pacific War in 2010 that he was spotted once again as the flight leader of the Ofnir Squadron of the Yuktobanian Air Force. However, like the '8492nd Squadron' within the Osean Air Defense Force, they were secretly Belkan operatives for the group known as the "Grey Men", a group dedicated to extracting Belka's revenge on the superpowers that had crushed them 15 years before. The Grey Men's mission was to keep fueling the war until both countries exhausted each other.
Heimeroth's Ofnir Squadron was first sighted on December 10th, 2010 at an air strip near the Yering Mine in Belka. It was there that the Ofnir Squadron aided the transport and escort of Belkan nuclear warheads sealed away during the decline of the Belkan War. They slipped back into the shadows after four jet-black planes slipped through their fingers, but appeared once again two days later.
They found themselves clashing with the "Ghosts of Razgriz" in the Payavlenie Ravine, originally deployed against Yuktobanian rebel forces which had captured and were dismantling a nuclear weapon, one of several that had been taken from the Yering Mine. Despite their best efforts, the entire Ofnir Squadron was shot down in Payavlenie Ravine and the nuclear weapon was successfully dismantled. None of the Ofnir pilots were killed during the battle, and they certainly weren't going to give up.
On December 31st, 2010, after the successful operation which destroyed the secret base which Grunder Industries, a Belkan munitions factory which was supplying Osea and Yuktobania weapons secretly, the main 'front' for the Grey Men, and responsible for the disabling of the Belkan-hijacked SOLG (Strategic Orbital Linear Gun), the "Demons of Razgriz" were intercepted by the Ofnir Squadron and the 8492nd or Grabacr Squadron over Oured Bay; in an attempt to buy time for the SOLG to enter the atmosphere and strike Oured, Osea's captial city.
Michael Heimeroth lead the Ofnir along side the Grabacr Squadron and fought their last battle to the end, against the Razgriz, with a sense of hate and revenge. Even with a numerical advantage, the Ofnir and Grabacr Squadron pilots were all shot down by the Razgriz and killed in action. The SOLG was then destroyed, and the Circum-Pacific War came to a close.
