MARCUS SNOW "Swordsman"
AC5 - Commander of VFA-206 - (Later Razgriz Three)

Personal information:
Name: Marcus Snow
Rank: Lieutenant (Incorrectly referred to as "Captain" in game)
Call Sign: Snowman
Nationality: Osean
Age: 34
Blood Type: A
Height: Approx. 6'2''
Weight: Approx. 187 lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
Status: Active

Biography:
The early history of Marcus Snow's life is uncertain, but, what is known is he was assigned to the OFS Kestrel, serving as the leader of VFA-206 "Shorebirds".

Snow participated in the defense of St. Hewlett shortly after the start of the Osean-Yuktobanian war, fighting in the eastern sector, and then commanding the air defense effort after the fleet escaped the port. After the fleet of three Carriers (OFS Kestrel, OFS Vulture and OFS Buzzard) evacuated to the inland sea, Snow valiantly defended the fleet until it was mostly destroyed by burst-missiles from the Yuktobanian submarine Scinfaxi. Afterward, the carrier Kestrel, being Osea's last operational carrier, was sent onto the front lines of combat until all, save one, of it's aircraft were destroyed. The surviving aircraft was that of Marcus Snow.

On December 9th, Lieutenant Snow joined the Wardog squadron, now only with three pilots, and freed president Vincent Harling from his prison in Belka's Stier Castle. Snow and the others then returned to the carrier with Sea Goblin and Harling in tow.

After Operation: Silvereye, Snow's squadron, VFA-206, and the Wardog Squadron were both deactivated, and merged to create the Razgriz Air Command Squadron. The recon photos taken during Silvereye showed a massive mining operation to remove the nukes which were buried during the Belkan War under Mt. Schrim. Snow and the others then attacked Mt. Schrim's facilities, burying the nuclear arms beneath the bedrock.

During Operation: Riverbed, Snow wiped out several Special Forces units, including helicopters, gunboats and members of the elite Ofnir Squadron. He was understandibly jumpy whenever the nuclear arms were mentioned. During Operation: Game Bird, Snow attacked and destroyed the Arkbird and sent it into the Ceres Ocean along with the other Razgriz. He was introduced to the MIA Captain Jack Bartlett during Operation: Crossroad, and shot down several enemy units including members of the Grabacr squadron.

He fought off the enemy Osean and Yuktobanian naval units during Operation: Glory Horn, and proceeded to Sudentor and attacked Grunder Industries' main headquarters, flying through a small tunnel and holding the traitorous Captain Hamilton off Blaze's six o'clock. Snow then assisted in destroying the Ofnir and Grabacr survivors, then attacked and destroyed the SOLG.

Edited article to include his commanding of VFA-206, along with minor grammatical corrections.

Sorry for double posting --

Correct rank is Lieutenant. Why?

Japanese Dub, he's a Tai-ai (equivalent of a Lieutenant in the Navy, which is the equiv. of a Captain in the Air Force)
Which would explain how he is commander of a squadron while Captain Andersen (Naval Captains are equal to Colonels in the Air Force) is the commander of the entire fleet.

So yeah... some military break down... unless there are any major objections?

It seems to me that he's the CAG, not just a squadron leader, in which case a naval rank of captain would make sense.

In that sense, yeah. But, he's been more or less confirmed to be just the leader of VFA-206. But, CAGs usually don't launch in combat with the rest of the Wing.

Updated the format and added the links to the AC5 sites in the sources section.

If making corrections to the article, DO NOT Change the format.

Went through it and changed some details that people got wrong - his callsign is SWORDSMAN, not SNOWMAN, people - and a few teensy grammatical errors.

Ah ... my favorite article.

<<SNOWMAN>>

Sir, target incoming!

<<AWACS>>

What is it? A new Jet?"

<<SNOWMAN>>

SIR, IT'S A SNOWBLOWER, SIR!

And PS -- In the Japanese Version of the Game, he's referred to as a Tai-ai (something like that) which is the equivilent of a Naval Lieutenant. biggrin.gif
