Background:
The F-4X Phantom II is an advanced and modernized F-4E derivative. The aircraft is fitted with dual 2500-gallon conformal water tanks to increase engine efficiency, allowing the type to break Mach 3 and be capable of cruising around Mach 2.7. A reasonable contender for the formidable SR-71 Blackbird in the recon role, It's performance alone does the old airframe justice. New materials and light alloys used to construct the F-4X also increase its maneuverability considerably, making it an ideal dogfighter able to hold its own among newer fighters.

I love this plane. I always had a soft spot for the F-4E, and this is just great. I think it's awesome that they included an F-4 model that can contend with the better planes.

"Heroes who shed their blood and lost their lives! You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours. I love how is there only a handful of Yuke F-4X in AC5. Probably they're just as few as FEAF MiG-21 in AC04.
