Background:
The MiG-21 Fishbed is one of the most famous fighter aircraft in history, with over 11,000 produced and 3,000 still in operation in over 40 countries. The MiG-21 is a high-speed interceptor reaching speeds up to Mach 2, built to be cheap and reliable, it has seen reproduction in over 22 separate variants, and is in heavy use throughout the Middle East and China. In comparison with other fighters of its class and age, it is quite maneuverable, as proven during dogfights with the heavier but more technologically-advanced F-4 Phantom IIs over Vietnam during the 1960s and 1970s. In recent years it has been refitted to serve as a multi-role strike fighter, receiving avionics upgrades, weapons enhancements, and state-of-the-art engines. An internal dual-barreled Gsh-23L gun has been made standard on all later variants of the fighter and many have been outfitted to fire advanced air-to-air missiles from BVR such as the R-77 Adder medium-range air-to-air missile.

The MiG-21-93 is the latest variant to exit the MiG design bureau in Russia. It is outfitted with the advanced "Spear" radar system which enhances air-to-air targeting range and ability, track-while-scan modes, the ability to battle successfully with 4th generation fighters, and improved communication. With a minimal refit cost and extension of airframe life by some 4,000 hours, the MiG-21-93 will continue to serve in numerous world air forces far into the 21st century.

As a question, is it remembered for the wrong reasons? I believe that should read, "one of the most famous fighter aircraft in history," in the article.

Grammar and spelling edited.

This is an aircraft that appears in AC04, but is not flyable....sort of like the F-4E is in AC6.

Valahia in ACX2 uses the MiG-21-93. They even have a ace: BALALAIKA.

Don't worry. Enemy fighters aren't solid in AC. Only large planes (Transports, bombers, etc.) and wingmen that will kill you if you crash into it.

And is the object on the wing hardpoint an RCL?

LOL. It's not this often we can see a weapon on an NPC aircraft besides the ones in cutscenes and on wingman

Enemy plane far right that is being locked is a MiG-21 (As the ID suggests). Please update the article.

Variant still unknown, though. So it's best placed here for a while.

Not trying to minimod, but for the grace of god... You don't need to quote the whole article just to tell that you have updated it. Telling "Updated" or "Assault Horizon added" is more than enough to make others know
