Try slowing down and pulling for the sides. That's a high-G turn. In real life, the airframe would be critically damaged, despite the fact i made a turn inside a Su-33 at online multiplayer and shot it down.

I'd make a "Realism in Ace Combat" joke, but I also want the MiG-31. but I have not seen Macross Nighthawks though...

How do you explain 90º turns in a Nighthawk?! Maneuverability is no excuse.

Ahem, allow me to elaborate.

It's a game. A game where planes can bounce between 20 skyscrapers and still fly out intact while regenerating its armor and popping meegic missiles out of the fourth dimension at a bomber that can take more than 10 missiles and still fly. Deal with it.

Sorry, I just can't help making a sarcastic comment when people want lolrealism in Ace Combat.

The guys said the Foxhound is an NPC aircraft because of its low maneuverability, so i took the Nighthawk's example. I do not want realistic Ace Combat games too. Its irrealism is 30% of the fun.

Using the Nighthawk is a bad example. It's an attacker, It's rather silly to compare it to an flying slab of brick interceptor. Nighthawk can be in the game because of ASM, but Foxhound can't because it can't do miracle turns in DFM (It still did, but whatever. I don't think they would let a player controlled MiG-31 do that). Kinda ironic that the devs actually had realism in mind when making the game but the main game mechanic that they used was about unreal as it can get.

And to think that there are people who will clamor all day long that Ace Combat is "way too unrealistic", and claim that games like COD and Halo portray realism much better than AC will ever. Some even go as far as saying that Ace Combat would be better if it was realistic down to a tee, meaning having pre-flight checks, engine start-ups, full pattern take-offs and landings and long boring trips back and forth from the mission area. In other words, some want Ace Combat to be just like Lock-On, if not exactly like Lock-On. Only without story, characters or anything that makes Ace Combat what it is.

Because having Superweapons and "fake planes" (Superfighters) is unrealistic and would never exist in real life (or fictional real life). ACX2 wants to say "hello".

I think "realism" is the wrong word. I prefer to say authentic. AC could be more authentic. Thats what previous titles did before ACAH. It had that authentic feel to it without going into the realism corner. It just FEELS a bit realistic while ACAH is just pure off IMO.

I don't feel like a fighter pilot I feel like a rollercoaster passenger who happen to have missiles. Thats it.

My 0,02.

AH dunked everything Namco learned with AC6 and ACX straight into the trash. I only play it because of the special paints.
