Are these future fictional AC3 versions of real planes with COFFINS instead of cockpits lighter than their present day variants or is that just me? I mean seriously, 18 tonnes; is that it? Even a lorry is heavier than that, let a lone a battle tank!

Empty weight for a real Mig-29 is ~11000kg while max weight is ~21000kg with takeoff weight being around 17000kg so 18000kg is just about right.

In that case, I dread to think how light these little helicopters are...planes are lighter than lorries, and lorries are only about a third as heavy as tanks. Not to mention...compared to how heavy the big chunky transport planes like Globemasters or Galaxys are. C-5Bs can reach a fully loaded weight of around 380 tonnes IIRC. How the hell can it take off?! The reason fighter jets and choppers are so light and weak armoured is so they can take off.

Also, why was my original post deleted? dry.gif

@Heinkel
Keep those comments to yourself man, we all learn something new everyday. And besides, that comment was out of topic.
Just keeping the peace.

ACS is a anarchy where you can get away with any stupid comment, if you like ACS fine but you're wrong. No matter what logic you come up with. It is only "fun" in an online world were these conditions of anonymity exist and people can escape their lives and play alpha pseudo intellectual.
