Background:
With the conclusion of the Usean Continental War, Independent State Allied Forces units occupied much of Erusea, and began peacekeeping operations as a new provisional Erusean government was formed. Although most of the Erusean military did not rebel against their new rulers, a few rogue Erusian officers and military members started their own organization, called “Free Erusea”. They established a base on the Erusian coastline, along with capturing an old weapons factory to supply their operations.

After they set up their organization, they attacked ISAF at various locations across the Usean Continent in 2006. After their terrorist attacks, the ISAF Intelligence Agency located their bases in the port of White Valley Bay, in the north of the Usean Continent. ISAF immediately responded, by choosing a small taskforce consisting of one E-767 AWACS, callsign “Sky Eye”, and a single F-22A Raptor, piloted by the leader of the 118th Tactical Fighter Squadron, “Mobius”.

This team, however, wasn’t chosen at random. During the Continental War, Mobius 1 was paired with Sky Eye as they fought to shoot down Erusean bombers headed for North Point. Throughout the rest of the war, the pair fought together, with Sky Eye providing valuable data for Mobius One. Also, after analyzing Mobius One’s battle data, ISAF found that his battle effectiveness was equal to an entire squadron.

After being deployed, the pair engaged the Free Erusean Forces in what was dubbed “Operation: Katina”. After their first battle, the Free Erusean forces quickly switched from offensive to defensive operations. After sustaining heavy losses as the pair destroyed their support areas at Newfield Island and Mount Shezna, the Eruseans relied on transport aircraft and ships.

However, although the Free Erusian forces were on the defensive, they weren’t outgunned. They managed to steal an extensive supply of military aircraft and a naval fleet, including aircraft carriers. However, despite their numbers, they were destroyed within a month, and were pushed back to their home base. But, their solidarity was not to last, as Mobius one raided the base, and destroyed the Erusians. However, following the destruction of the base, Free Erusian forces launched six of EASA’s super fighers, the X-02 Wyvern.

After a long and hard dogfight, Mobius One shot down all of the aircraft, allowing ISAF ground forces to enter the base. After scowering the debris, the forces discovered new technologies that the Erusians were developing.

Following the destruction of Free Erusea, the provisional government was installed, and peace reigned.
