Background:
The X-29 is a USAF/NASA technology demonstrator built to investigate the aerodynamic advantages of the forward-swept wing concept. Built upon the body of a modified F-5E Tiger II with a single F404-GE-400 engine, forward-mounted canard wings, and redesigned air intakes, the X-29 logged a total of 422 flights between models 1 and 2 and managed to achieve a maximum angle of attack of 67 degrees. It has the ability to reach a maximum speed of Mach 1.6. Without advanced composites, lightweight airframe made of aluminium and titanium, and fly-by-wire controls none of the plane’s accomplishments would have been possible as the aircraft is inherently unstable and the FSW adheres to stresses far greater than that of a conventional swept-back wing platform. The program was conducted between 1984 and 1992, and has been attributed by western sources as console to the design of the Russian-made Su-47 Berkut.

The X-29, though not meant to be a fighter, performs very well as a multirole aircraft. Because of its forward swept wing, the X-29 has exceptional maneuverability, but lacks the ability to carry a decent air-to-ground weaponry payload. This holds the X-29 back and forces it to maintain its status as a light-weight jet fighter, more suitable for air-to-air engagements.

Grammar and spelling edited.

I should note that the Tsybin LL-3 and data taken from the captured Junkers Ju 287 at the end of World War II are the actual sources for data assisting the development of the Su-47 Berkut.

LAF missing on the operators list (just an overlook, as the LAF ace is there).

ACS is a anarchy where you can get away with any stupid comment, if you like ACS fine but you're wrong. No matter what logic you come up with. It is only "fun" in an online world were these conditions of anonymity exist and people can escape their lives and play alpha pseudo intellectual.
