LARRY FOULKE "Solo Wing Pixy"
AC0 - Galm Two

-Pixy's ID-

Personal Information:
Name: Larry Foulke
Rank: 2nd Lieutenant
Call Sign: Solo Wing Pixy
Nationality: Belkan
Age: 28 [as of 1995]
Sex: Male
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
Status: Shot Down (Survived Belkan War)

Biography:
"Larry Foulke, also known as "Solo Wing Pixy", and Galm Team's number two. Member of the Ustio Air Force, 6th Air Division, 66th Air Force Unit. That's right - this man was his buddy, and his enemy."
-Brett Thompson, OBC Reporter

The majority of Foulke's life is a mystery, though it is known that somewhere in his past his plane was damaged, and one of his wings was blown clean off. He managed to complete the mission and then land, but since that day he has been called "Solo Wing" Pixy. In memory of this occasion, he painted one of the wings of his F-15C red.

His first mission with his legendary wingmate, Cipher, took place on April 2, 1995 during Operation Crossbow in the vicinity of Valais Air Base, Ustio. Foulke aided Cipher in destroying a squadron of approaching bombers and their escorts. About two weeks later, during Operation Roselein, Foulke and Cipher singlehandedly annihilated a large concentration of ground units in Arlon.

During Operation Choker One, Pixy and Cipher were ordered to penetrate Belkan Priority One Strategic Airspace B7R, known and feared by pilots around the world as "The Round Table." This region, rich in mineral resources, was the inital cause of Belkan aggression. Foulke and Cipher engaged all units they saw, and entered the round table. As the duo further penetrated B7R, they were engaged by a large amount of hostile aircraft. The triumph in B7R greatly helped the newly-formed Allied Forces' Offensive Campaign No. 4101.

Pixy also played a major role in the Allied attack on Belkan-occupied Solis Ortis. He assisted Cipher in defending a batallion of paratroopers against anti-aircraft units on the ground and hpstile fighters in the air. The two Ustian mercenaries then liberated Ustio's capital of Directus after shooting down the Belkan aces of Gelb Team. Foulke and Cipher immediately were put on the offensive, breaking through the heavily fortified defensive wall at Glatisant.

During Operation Dynamo, Galm Team found themselves targeted by the Belkan long-range laser cannon, Excalibur. After avoiding the dangerous laser fire, they were successful in destroying the enemy superweapon. As May came to a close, the Allies made an attack on the Round Table. During the battle, Pixy was heard expressing dissent for the course of this very costly war, talking with Wizard Squadron's leader Joshua Bristow about "getting out of this dead-end job." Immediately following victory in B7R, Cipher and Foulke crossed paths with a squadron in pursuit of a Belkan deserter.

In Operation Cannibal's carpet bombing of Hoffnung, Pixy voiced his disapproval for Allied tactics. He argued with fellow mercenary PJ Beckett over the morality of the conflict throughout the assault. A few days later, Foulke was sent with Cipher to rendezvous with Allied forces, only to be forced to intercept a Belkan squadron reportedly carrying nuclear weapons. During the confusion after the nuclear strike, however, Pixy fired on Cipher and disappeared from radar. Foulke was not heard from again until December 31st, when he sent Cipher a coded message: "Yo, buddy - still alive?"

After disabling the controls for the V2, Foulke took Galm Team by surprise, ambushing the pair in an advanced Belkan prototype fighter, codenamed "Morgan." He tore through PJ's F-16 with a laser mounted on his ADFX-02, leaving the perfect arena for a one-on-one showdown. Pixy revealed during the battle that it was he who held the controls to the Belkan V2. The battle ended when Cipher critically damaged Foulke's plane and the V2 was destroyed. Pixy escaped his failing aircraft and crawled back to Ground Zero of the nuclear detonations just six months before. The people still living there took care of him until he was ready to leave on his own.

Ten years later, he was found fighting in the country of Delarus. He gave information to Brett Thompson of the Osean Broadcasting Corporation for a story about the Belkan War.

Hm. Does ES consider the bios in the US ACZ guide to be remotely canon or just filler cruft? If the former, here's some copypasta:

QUOTE
"Pixy" fled his hometown when he was young because of the war. Both his parents were killed at that time and he was raised in an orphanage. When he grew to a young adult, he left the orphanage to become a mercenary pilot. He joined the war in order to earn money. Instead of staying in once place, he was moved all around the globe. In 1993, he completed a risky mission, despite having a damaged wing, and returned to the base in a plane that could barely fly. Since then, he's been called "One-Winged Sprite" or "Pixy." Perhaps for that reason, he painted one wing of his beloved F-15C red. In 1994, he joined the Ustio Republic as a foreign mercenary pilot. Together with Cipher, they earned the hostility of the enemy soldiers on the battlefield and became to be known [sic] as legendary mercenaries.

During that time, Pixy was invited to join an ideal fighting force by a friend from the Osean Air Force, air force captain Bristow. Although he felt close to Ustio, he became bored with the dirty, international war and accepted. He left Ustio with seven nuclear bombs. [lolwut?]

Afterwards, the ideal flying force became the coupe d'etat force known as "A World With No Boundaries" and the center of the Belkan V2 tests. Although V2 was still a waepon in its experimental stages, they tried to build a better world without borders using it.

tl;dr, it's a bit like a bad fanfic. At any rate, though, assuming this is canonical, I suppose these are the important bits:

  • Larry's family was likely killed during one of the wars in the '70s, during Belka's period of expansionism.
  • Larry subsequently grew up in an orphanage. Yay tragic past.
  • Involved in numerous conflicts worldwide; he at least started out with the money in mind.
  • Solo-wing incident took place in '93.

Greg Off, apparently. Also according to the guide bios, PJ spent some time traveling. Around the entirety of Osea. On a bike.

I can see it now: "Hey, buddy... I am a little bit sick of fighting (not like anybody else is), so I've got seven nuclear warheads strapped to the bottom of my fighter jet, and I'll drop them if you don't give me... one hundred BILLION DOLLARS!!!"

We do what we can. I kept trying to write it so that it wouldn't just be a plot summary of ACZ like a lot of the main character bios turn out to be.

It needed to be restructured - grammatically it had a lot of holes and some of the facts made no sense at all. Maybe somebody messed with it before me, but it needed work.
