Biography
Sergeant Louis McKnight is one of the 7 characters who tell the story of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. He, along with fellow Sergeants Hobsbawm (the gunner) and Torch (the driver), are the crew of one of the tanks in an unknown tank battalion (Conjecture: possibly Quox Battalion). Due to the fact that all three men were sergeants, the men drew straws to see who would get what position, and McKnight got the captain's seat.
McKnight was separated from the rest of the retreating Emmerian military while he assisted civilians moving to shelter in the countryside near the beginning of the game. He, along with his crew, proceeded to rejoin the remaining Emmerian forces on Khesed Island, where he assisted in both defending the island and driving the Estovakians back onto the mainland.
It was during this time that McKnight confessed that he was getting sick of the war, or rather "being holed up in a landing craft playing five-card stud" with his tank crew. It was during one of these card games where Sergeant Torch convinced McKnight of an outrageous and almost unbelieveable plan to loot the Emmerian National Bank in Gracemaria. Believing Sergeant Torch ("I always knew the guy had sticky fingers"), McKnight proceeded to continue playing his part in the ground war until the military made it to Gracemaria.
Participating in many pivotal battles, McKnight and his crew finally fought their way to Gracemaria. Using their tank's cannon to blow a wall into the "vault" under the bank, McKnight found the Golden King, several small children and the now defected Colonel Victor Voycheck. Lashing the Golden King to the front of their tank, McKnight, Hobsbawm and Torch drove the vehicle back to street level after the offensive was complete and parked the tank in front of the castle where it resided even after the war.
It is unknown what happened to McKnight after the war ended, although it can be assumed he retired from the military
