Mission 06A
The Midnight Sun

Operation Briefing
The Gleipner is now positioned above Terminus Island. It is using it as a resuply base, and as a staging point for long range attacks against Stand Canyon.

The troops stranded at Stand Canyon are vital for the upcoming assault on Santa Elva, but they're pinned down as long as the glepnier's attacks are allowed to continue. Something must be done, and soon. Analysis of the SWBM attack has shown that the blast of the missile dissipates before reaching ground level.

Hoping to unitlize this weakness, the remaining Aurelian fleet has gathered for a counter assault on the airborne fortress. We have been informed that the assault will begin as soon as we are ready. How show we proceed, sir?

To get the MiG-1.44 Ace to appear you need to destroy the tunnels with the container ships next to them. To this about 3 or 4 times and he should appear coming from the east side of the map.

I—I think I love you, Tweak. I was loathing having to go count out targets for this mission and the next. The Gleipnir missions aren't necessarily difficult, par se, but they can be really tedious to try and count out targets before the timed sections run out on you. Kudos for putting 'em together! And you also got the debriefing. Way cool. ♥

As for the ace unit, spawning him is a matter of destroying the Gleipnir's optical camouflage pretty much before the Gleipnir fires. You can't have any of them take damage, or you'll lose your shot at taking down Ghost. It's really bloody annoying to try and do.

I'm sorry, but I only handle Ace Combat signature requests!

http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/psp/file/932560/50682: Link to ACX walkthrough that isn't bogus. And before you guys ask, I did not copy down the info on the MiG-1.44 Ace. I didn't even know the website existed until my friend told me about it.

Platonically speaking, of course. I actually meant GAG-E because he's the one that actually wrote the mission info, but I guess you're awesome, too. laugh.gif

Come to think of it, I may have had another ace plane in mind for that strategy, though. I tried that and never saw Ghost show up, either – there doesn't seem to be an ace plane for that mission, though one blip showed up on radar just as the mission ended. I'll have to play it again and see if that's the right one.

As for the walkthrough, it's pretty good. Most of the descriptions of where to find the Leasath aces are pretty accurate.

There's a FAQ about ACX written by one of our members.. I believe it's more accurate, but outdated..

You guys need to look to ACS for that stuff:

It helps. I can guarantee it because I made that topic.
