In x2 it was the worst aircraft. Even the upgrades for it were crap. You could add some low heat emission engiens (forgot the name) but it made that thing even slower and less maneuverable. Fighting any aircraft was a nightmare with it and the secondary weapons also sucked (bombs sucked in X, X2 anyways).

In terms of airframe performance, it's the best. It has the typical small payload of missiles, but considering no aircraft in the game had anything besides missiles and guns. So you'd just use it in Level 2 matches.

oh no I hear you on maneuverability but without special weapons I would simply go for something better though I don't know how stealth works in that game

Stealth in AC2 is the ade-in/fade-out kind, even when somebody is looking right at you on the nose.

Plus, they only appear on the radar at all at close range, withing visual range. Otherwise, they are completely invisible to the radar, which can be tricking if you're hunting stealth aces.

ACX's versions was pretty good, too. It was as fast as a lawnmower, but had good weapons and excellent maneuverability, on par, if not better than the F-15E.

But should it actually be like that, as you say? It's hard to imagine an unaerodynamic brick like that flying that well.

@Keksz: I disagree. First, the flat-out worst aircraft has got to be the F-1. It's even worse than the A-6, and that says a lot.
Second, bad SP weapons? The only bad SP weapon it has is the GBP. It comes with UBGLs off the bat (sorry to say this, but if you can't use bombs...), and also LAGMs and freaking ODMMs. Even if it was something like NPB/GBP/RCL, the ODMMs would make up for it. Plus, we're talking about X2 here: any long range A2A missile is a near sure hit.

GPB and UGB are useless to me because there are weapons which do their job better (and saying someone is not able to be using bombs is nuts. It's AC. Aim and drop. Idiotproof).
And yeah I forgot about the LAGM and ODMM but the fact these are not an option for me too is because they are just overprized ingame where you can get much better performance for less money (of course that argument is invalid if you are on your #x-playthrough).
No one wants to spend a lot of money just to get the performance of another aircraft for less money. It would though make sense to buy it if stealth would be available to the player.

Play MP and use the Diffusion Coat upgrade for your armor slot, you're practically invisible.

Oh that thing is so annoying. I don't care about the extra stealth, you just need to have good situational awareness. What really annoys is me is the reduced, Fenrir-like lock-on speed.
