Overview:
The fuel cars that appear in mission 08B "The Wasteland" of Ace Combat X, are special container vehicles that are transporting a chemical weapon known as "Cynocrine". After the destruction of the Gleipnir airborne fortress, Aurelian forces had begun to advance further into the country as they pushed Leasath forces back; in a desperate attempt to counter-attack, the Leasath army had begun a plan to retake Santa Elva, an important strategic location. Gathering it's forces at the Kalana Steppes, Leasath army units; led by the special forces "Hamlet" unit, were in the process of heading to Santa Elva, when the Aurelian ace "Gryphus One" and a couple of wingmen made a swift strike on the Leasath forces there; wiping out the Hamlet unit and Leasath's plan to attack Santa Elva using the Cynocrine.
