Overview:
The Pak 40 (Panzerabwehrkanone) is a 7.5 cm anti-tank gun used by the German military during WWII. It was very effective against most allied armor, although it was very heavy, limiting its mobility. During Ace Combat 6's "Anea Landing" mission, several Pak 40s can be seen firing upon Quox battalion and the second fleet.

Thanks, Heinkel.

At first, I couldn't believe that the Stovies were using such an outdated artillery piece; then again, they're also in posession of Flak 88s.

Destroyers of today have really thin armor. The armor that they have is more like splinter/shrapnel armor to prevent shrapnel from shredding other systems, so the PAK40 will be effective against destroyers.

Scroll down to 3/4ths and you'll see an example of how thin a modern warships armor is even when engaged by infantry held weapons.
