OVERVIEW:
A massive transport aircraft fielded by Neucom Inc., the R-501 Rhincodon sports a unique design featuring a largely curved fuselage, a crescent shaped elevator, a three level deck configuration and possibly the ENSI COFFIN for piloting. Apart from its primary role as a transport plane, the R-501 can also be utilized as a tanker.

I think the design of the R-501 is inspired by whales, like the R-100's are inspired by dolphins.

I was just looking at the top view on JDX's blueprint when I thought of that.

Rhincodon is the genus name of the Whale shark

and in the first pic in this thread it almost looks like a whale shark too
