Defense: 30% (maybe)

OVERVIEW:
The YR-99 is one of the first aircraft, along with the XR-45 and YR-302 which uses the COFFIN system. Besides this, there is no solid information on the Forneus. However, its resemblance is extremely close to Neucom Inc's R-101 Delphinius, seen in Ace Combat 03. Because of this there is a high possibility that this aircraft, like the XR-45 and YR-302 are made by an early Neucom Inc. Its maneuverability is quite exceptional and is a very good-multi-role aircraft.

QUOTE
The YR- 99 is a prototype Next-gent fighter with high performance.

This plane inherits combat and tactical experiences from the fighters in previous generation, and evolve to a new level.

Lightening designed with special material and hardware, and the "beautiful" shape brings an unexpected high ability for combat.

Area of the wings is decreased by new tech --- Laminar Flow Control Technology. Also called "Breathing Wings" by Developers and Engineers. However, there is no further detail yet.

Stealth ability also been added.
But generally in design, material and electric equipment take the major part.

For pilot's vision, COFFIN System is consisted with 12 cameras and desplay system, it provides infomation outside the cockpit.

It's the positive usage of new technologies, develop cost isn't too high, also makes the mass production possible.

Just fix the grammar and spelling, and add to the article ^^b

I wonder why they didn't include more planes like this in AC6....

That answers a question Ive been searching for since ac3 was released. How can the R series have good maneuverability even though they only have a set of elevons?

NASA's F-16XL + R series is the answer. Pipe the thrust of the fan section of the turbofan through the elevons to provide some sort of thrust vectoring.

AC6 comes before ACX, so the technology doesn't come until the Aurelia-Leasath war.

The aft fuselage with the vertical and horizontal stabilizers make it look a little like the F-111

Im in college and part of an aerospace engineering group, and we got a private tour of edwards air force base in california. as you probably know, edwards is home to a lot of nasa (dryden flight research center) and airforce (the rest of edwards) aircraft testing. The catch is that they're testing so many systems that they need aerospace engineers to help out, so our tour was kind of like a "recruitment" teaser.

that said the security was really tight, you had to be a US citizen first off, but you also had to provide DOB, SSN number, pasport number, address, etc. so that they could do a full background check i'd imagine.

this model was actually in one of the few areas where photography is allowed, but you should have seen what we couldn't take pics of.

Isn't that the North American F-X concept. I remember it was part of some ATF project from ages ago.
