Mission Walkthrough
Remember that this mission has a time limit and does not rely on you destroying certain targets.

Before you start the mission, make sure you have bought the F-16C and the Unguided Bomb-Small (UGBS). These have a smaller bomb radius than the UGBMs on the F-4E, but that won’t be a factor in this mission. Many of the targets you’ll be hitting are located near each other on multiple oil rigs, while the rest are on land, near one another.

Once the mission starts, be sure to knock out that Oil Tanker right in front of you. Then attack the oil rigs in the east and do not pay attention to any of the enemy aircraft that are trying to intercept you. Most of these oil rigs are split into three platforms. The platforms hold three to four targets. Most of the targets on the oil rigs can be destroyed by the UGBS if you drop them in the middle of each platform. When attacking the oil rigs with the UGBS, drop them from above the platforms in order to make sure they do not hit any obstructions on the way down. Only drop a maximum of three bombs per oil rig in order to make sure you have enough bombs for them all. Use your standard missiles to destroy any targets the UGBS didn’t destroy. Repeat the process of dropping bombs, then finishing off surviving targets with missiles, until all of the oil rig targets have been destroyed. If all the targets out at sea were destroyed, you should have a B or A-rank. If you complete this part of the attack within five minutes of the mission, you will have more than enough time to complete it with an S-rank.

From there, attack the oil fields and refineries to the west. Once you've made it to the land, you’ll see the large oil facility that the Erusians are protecting. Starting from one side of the base to the other, destroy all the ground targets with any remaining UGBS, standard missiles and your gun. Air defenses in this area are lax, so there should not be much resistance from them. Before you destroy all ground targets, your rank for the stage should rise to S-rank. Once you’ve destroyed all ground targets, including the inland Oil Refinery, located to the west, all land based targets will be destroyed. Dogfight to run out the clock until the mission is over.

At the end of your attack, the 156th Tactical Fighter Wing 'Aquila', better known as the Yellow Squadron, will enter the area to intercept you. Do not try and fight them. The F-16C is out classed by the Su-37 and the Yellow can’t be shot down in this mission. Hold your afterburners and head south to the return line. Upon crossing the line the mission will be over.
