Operation 07C: Time Limit
ACX - Campaign Walkthrough

<insert map here>

  • Enemies: [1 - A] [0 - G] [0 - N] [5 - TGT] [6 - TOTAL]
  • Recommended Aircraft
    • First Campaign: XFA-24A w/ XMAA
    • Other: Su-37 w/ XLAA
  • 1st time Rewards
    • Finish Mission: F-16XL Aircraft
    • Destroy F-35 "BECRUX": SP1 F-35 Colour
Neutralize the gas quickly enough to spawn with the reinforcements
    • Destroy Star Unit "E-767": Ram Coat Part
Available from the start above the first gas bomb at a very high altitude

Well... anybody remember that AC5 mission where you had to neutralize the biological gas spreading in the city? This is basically the same, except you can't pull off high-G turns without reducing yourself to a wreckage. You see, this neutralizer gas you're carrying is horribly unstable and will detonate like damp Acetone Triperoxide if you shake it around a bit, so you're going to have to fly in a similar manner to grandmas suspending clothes on outdoor washing lines.

Not just that, the gas diffuses in the air faster than a fart, so you'll have to act swiftly yet gently or you'll eat lead. This is, quite easily, the most annoying mission in Ace Combat history.

Once you start, you'll notice the G-forces meter in the upper right corner. Like said, any swift move and the bar will fill up like a rocket. You'll also notice the NTRL ammo that's taken place of your SP weapon. It works in the same way an unguided bomb would and you've 99 of them so don't worry about wasting too much of it.

Tap the afterburners about one second per tap to gain speed without biting the dust. Align your nose to the island amidst the river for a gas bomb shall detonate there. One accurate shot of the new NTRL ammo is sufficient to neutralize the spreading toxin.

Now, the star unit is almost vertically above you. Literally. Remember not to make any rabid moves and slowly ascend to its level. Once there, take it out as quickly as possible (remember, there's some gas spreading down there) then dive down for the gas.

From this point forward, the only true advice I could give you is to ascend to about 1000 ft, dive at the base of the gas fumes and fire then ascend back to 1000 ft for the next bomb. One problem with this mission is you'll constantly find yourself focusing on the radar and the mission rather than the MPG and subsequently blowing yourself up, so remember to keep your eyes on the MPG all the time to avoid overcooking it.

After the bombs have been neutralized, the G-force meter will disappear. DO NOT BREAK JUST YET, the effect is still there. It's only safe to pull crazy maneuvers when the NTRL ammo disappears from your HUD.

Waste the two F-14Ds that've been teasing us for so long and if you've neutralized the gas quickly enough the ace will appear with the following reinforcements. Send them a few missiles of gratitude to finally end the mission.

Oh and since I've gotten a lot of queries about it, the mission is time based, so you're going to have to do everything quickly for an S-rank.

This mission offically replaces AC5s "Final Option" as my most despised mission; and that SP part wasn't even worth the effort, in my opinion.

but the F-35 color is if you want to get the fenrir special colors. any mission limiting manouverability, having a tunnel, or lava, i hate. tunnel vision isn't even close to this hard.
Another one of those proud Neucomers
