Geography:
The long, straight body of water that seperates two greater bodies of water is surrounded by flat land. Some short hills, punctuated by hardy trees break this generalization. Futuro Canal's location makes it a vital shipping lane and transport route in the Northern-Osean continent.

The Belkan War (Offensive Campaign No. 4101):
Operations: Coster, Gelnikos and Round Hammer took place here on the 24th of April 1995. These three operations made up Offensive Campaign No. 4101. Each operation individual targeted Belkan ground forces, naval facilities, air defenses and ships of the Belkan Navy. The final operation would allow the Osean 3rd Fleet and the new, state-of-the-art Aircraft Carrier OFS Kestrel. Utilizing pilots of the Ustian and Osean Air Forces, alongside mercenary forces, Futuro Canal was taken by the Allied Forces.
