any chance we could add a bit more info on the "mission update" portion, like the updated mission, and details of the beams you have to deal with?

Infinite amount of lasers, they won't stop until you get out of the combat area. A good way of dodging the lasers is to slow down and go around the area where the laser is going to fire on, then head south on full burners when the laser actually fires.

One of the worst things to do is use afterburners while escaping the combat area you know.

What Gracidia said is that you use the afterburner when the laser is firing. Once it stops, slow down and get ready to evade another one (It always appears in whatever direction you face, but it will fall ahead you at random distance. Sometimes far, sometimes, it's right on your face, giving barely enough distance to evade), when it fires again, use the burners, and after that slow down. Repeat the same process and you'd be OK.

But if you use the afterburner at all times, that is practically suicide, unless if you have fast reaction time.

When I was bored years ago, I flew at a very slow airspeed to see what would happen, and the laser missed nearly 100% because it keep firing ahead and dissipates before my aircraft enters the laser's danger zone. I don't remember the exact low airspeed I maintained but I'm guessing it was around 200-300 km/h or lower...

How long did it take to escape from the combat airspace? And did you still able to reach the S rank (Time is the most crucial factor for S in ACZ)? If so, then, I can just cruise in a very slow speed to evade the lasers.

I already had an S-rank on the first serious playthrough, on my "just for fun replay" I didn't bother to look at what I ranked after the mission. :P
