Vextra 105 Wheeled Reconnaisance Vehicle
- Recon Vehicle-

ORIGIN: (Real World):
France

GAMES FEATURED IN:
Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies

OPERATORS:
Federal Erusian Army

WEAPONS:
*105mm cannon (not on version seen in game)
*7.62mm machine gun

OVERVIEW:
The Vextra 105 wheeled armoured reconnaissance vehicle is being developed by Giat Industries in Versailles, France. The new generation 8x8 vehicle is capable of anti-tank combat and has fire-on-the-move capability against stationary or moving targets. The vehicle is based on the same wheeled chassis as Giat's Vextra 25 and has demonstrated high tactical and strategic mobility in trials, including desert trials carried out in the United Arab Emirates in October 1997. During the trials, the Vextra 105 covered 200km on very soft sandy tracks at speeds greater than 50km/h, reaching top speeds of 120km per hour on roads.

Gun firing tests were carried out on the 105mm gun, the 7.62mm machine gun and the Galix self-defence system, by day and night, with the Vextra 105 halted and on the move at speeds of 60km/h, against both static and mobile targets.

The reconnaissance vehicle is operated by four crew members - driver, commander, gunner and loader.

The prototype Vextra 105 versions were developed and trialled.

Aggressiveness was a fundamental to success in air-to-air combat and if you ever caught a fighter pilot in a defensive mood you had him licked before you started shooting.

It only appears during the second cutscene. Where the boy is talking about when the Erusian soldiers came to his town.

When I first saw this, I thought it was about a 150-wheeled recon vehicle.

ACS is a anarchy where you can get away with any stupid comment, if you like ACS fine but you're wrong. No matter what logic you come up with. It is only "fun" in an online world were these conditions of anonymity exist and people can escape their lives and play alpha pseudo intellectual.
