Mission Overview:
Operation Costner is one or three Operations in Offensive Campaign #4101. This is the Third phase with regarding the attack and occupation of the Furturo Canal. In this mission, there is only one method in order to obtain the Ememy Aces for you assault records. The information covered is for the Ace Level allow you to obtain All available aces.

Mission Walkthough:
You start the mission heading north about 60% through the canal, your mission is to escort the Carrier Kestrel and it's battlegroup of Destroyers and Cruisers through the Futuro Canal with minimal or no casualties. When you begin, the first group of enemy aricraft encountered will be three (3) F-1 Attack fighters, use your XLAA missiles and attack them at long range. when you hit them, the middle of the three will turn neutral, destroy it with a standard missile. Check you radar, there will be two different groups, engage the one to the north first. This will be the Belkan Aces 'Postler 1 & 2' in Su-27 Flankers. Hit the lower one head on with 2 standard missiles (Don't waste your XLAAs because you never hit them), then perform an Immelmann manuver and engage the second Su-27. By this time you will have three (3) F-16Cs bearing down on you, Don't waste time and take out the remaining Flanker. Once the flankers are down, engage only one F-16C. When the first one is destroyed, three (3) additional groups of aircraft will appear, attack the group to the east of the canal.

This group will be three(3) Mirage-2000Ds. Destroy them before they have a chance to launch there missiles at the ships, one will turn neutral, destroy that plane then turn to the north and engage the lone F-1, this is the Belkan Ace 'Wetterhahn'. Again, destroy him before he can launch his attack.

Next, engage the third group which will be three (3) F-20As. Two of these will turn neutral. When you destroy all the F-20As, two additional groups will appear. Turn to the West and engage the three (3) F-1s. If it's timed correctly, one will turn neutral. After the F-1s are destroyed, turn to the east and engage the three Tornado GR.4s. Sometimes, but not always, one will turn neutral, again this is a matter of timing.

At this time, you should have your two remaining F-16Cs, but wait, another target appears approaching form the north east, this is the Belkan Ace 'Absender' in a Tornado GR.4, Engage him Head on, then finish off the remaining F-16C to complete the mission.
