ACE STYLE GAUGE

-The Ace Style Gauge can be found in the lower part of the mission debrief screen, The sliding arrow indicates your current Ace Style.

General Information:
This is a feature that is only seen in Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. The Ace Style Gauge is both a key factor in how the player accesses all content and embodies the unique qualities of this installment in the series. Different Ace Styles yield special dialouge, cut scences, chances to shoot down Ace Style specific Aces and allows players to go up against each of the Round Table Squadrons. This gauge is effected by the player's decisions to destroying enemies during missions in the campaign mode. How many enemies are destroyed, whether or not this target is a combatant or not and even the condition of the player's allies effect the Ace Style Gauge.

Ace Styles
The Ace Style Gauge presents the player with three Ace Styles, they are as follows:

A Mercenary Ace is a pilot that is only concerned with profiting as much as possible from each mission. To gain this Ace Style, the player should destroy as many targets as possible in each mission; especially any 'yellow' targets, as they are either non-essential targets or damaged enemy aircraft. Any requests from allies should also be ignored.

A Soldier Ace focuses on their mission from beginning to end, destroying very few non-essential targets and supporting their allies along the way. Becoming a Soldier Ace involves the player holding a fine balance of destroying mission targets, while destroying other targets in the area, without letting too many enemies escape.

A Knight Ace focuses on protecting their allies and completing the mission with little collateral damage. Becoming a Knight calls for the player to never destroy any non-combatant targets, allow damaged of fleeing aircraft to leave the battlespace, and ensure the survival of as many allied units as possible.
