That insignia is of the 6th Air Division, not Eagle Eye's particular squadron within the unit. The insignia appears on all of Galm's aircraft and is also clearly labeled "6th Air Division."

Also, the 6th AD is Ustio's foreign legion; if Eagle Eye is in this unit, he wouldn't be an Ustian.

Probably his experience as an AWACS operator would be reflected in his work in the rest of the ranks. One hardly sees a Second Lieutenant become an operator at that rank...

AWACS crewmen who direct fighters around are enlisted.

I don't know, the way Ace Combat paints it, a Strangereal AWACS is just one guy doing everything up there.

Like God and devout Christians? (no offense intended)

The similarity in names does not help, either.

My lord you guys, Zaku is right. AWACS controllers are enlisted. All they do is vector guys to a target, and monitor the battle, along with other tactical control things. They aren't officers... and most definately not Majors.

He used to. I remember seeing the image of the black E-767 in the English ACZ site, but after the EMP in mission 12 (Due to a nuclear blast nearby), and the electronics probably got fried, it was replaced by a white E-767 as seen in the end of Mission 18.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."-Marianne Williamson, from A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles

Too bad the black one got messed up, I really liked his E-767.
