Whiskey Corridor
- Last Line of Defense -

- Goldberg Crater -

- ISAF Troops enroute to Anchorpoint City -

Geography:
The geography of the Whiskey Corridor mainly has a desert climate and overall layout. Before the planet-fall of the 1994XF04 'Ulysses' asteroid the river, the name is unknown, that ran thorugh this area severed as an inland sea route. But the source of the river was cut off or dried up due to the Ulysses fragment impact. The geology of this area, as we can see from the Goldberg Crater, is that this area is mainly made up of sedimentary rocks deposited by a river or a shallow ancient sea. Two towns are located within the desert, one being Anchorpoint City.

Usean Continental War (Op.Sandstorm):
Whiskey Corridor became the last line of defense for the Erusian Military, near the end of the Usean Continental War. The area in which the Whiskey Corridor is located, between the Lambert and Amber Mountain ranges, makes it the only location in which a large military force could effectively move into Erusea. The Erusian defense line was seperated into three Battlelines and two support areas. Anchorpoint City served as the left flank, a cental Battleline which consisted soley of Battletanks supported by aircraft and a Right Flank which consisted of two Complexes mostly comprised of Pill Boxes. In the extreme rear was the Erusian HQ for that area and a support area which had multiple Artillery and Rocket Artillery units. The battle here was the largest battle between each ground force. ISAF ground forces, operating from a forward deployed command center, were heavily outnumbered. This forced them to depend on Air Support to help them win the battle. By the end the battle, the ISAF had broken through the Whiskey Corridor.

This is one of the worst AC04 missions ever.

Oh, checkpoints are beautiful things. I'd say with the flight controls and overall improvements of AC5 and beyond this and many other AC4 missions would vastly improve.

I agree. A ton of missions in AC4 would've been a bit more managable. For example: Mission 6, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17. You can't take away anything for the epic-ness of "Shattered Skies", so I didn't add it to the list.

I felt an emptiness inside when I had just dodged Excalibur fire and Nimbus missiles, then had an urge to do the first encounter with Stonehenge - the control change makes an incredible difference. Plus, Yellows would be much more fun and easier to beat in their earlier encounters if that extra maneuverability was added.

Shattered Skies is, indeed, epic. I really love that mission. Things get really interesting when you play it on Hard or Expert difficulty, too – I love how chaotic things get in the thick of it. I was hoping that the Round Table missions in Ace Combat Zero were as frantic and chaotic, but they seem to pale a little in comparison. It seems to me that there aren't nearly as many aircraft.

Whiskey Corridor isn't too bad, though. It just seemed really slow to me, mostly due to the fact that you have to book it from one location to another. In a slower plane, this can take a long time, and possibly put you to sleep between action areas.

And I'm terrible at not smacking into the ground. I crash more than I get shot down, on a bad day. But, it's all good. It's still fun. tongue.gif

I'm sorry, but I only handle Ace Combat signature requests!

That's what I missed in AC5 and Zero - smashing into the ground multiple times. Possible? Maybe not. Fun to do? You better believe it.

Besides AC04's control scheme, the planes would look a little better in my opinion, if they had used the models from AC5 / Zero.
