ACE COMBAT 3 INFORMATION CENTER

Plot:
It is the year 2040 and in the midst of the world being taken over by Multi-National Conglomerates, the Usean continent becomes the battleground for an armed conflict between General Resource LTD. and Neucom Inc. In an attempt to halt the imminent conflict, the Universal Peace Enforcement Organization is sent in to cease hostilities between each party. For more information on the entire conflict, see the Corporate War article.

Aircraft and Weapons:
Because of the year that this story takes place in, there are various fictional aircraft and weaponry to deploy throughout Ace Combat 3. Aircrafts range from General Resource's modified or new variants of F-15s, F-16s, and F-22s or the more exotic fictional designs of Neucom's 'Radical' aircraft. The weapons that these aircraft can deploy range from the classic 20mm Vulcan Cannon and Standard Missiles to futuristic Pulse Laser Guns and MIRVs. There is even an unlockable Orbital Satellite Lasers (OSL). For more information, see AC3IC Aircraft List.

Various Story Branches and Endings:
Ace Combat 3 (JP) uses an extensive branching storyline system alongside player decision points. These decision points allow the player to join different factions throughout the game and unlock various missions and endings that are not available to other factions. The Branching Storyline and Decision Point systems are what made Ace Combat 3 one of the most popular Ace Combat installments in the entire series. For more information, see AC3IC Decision Points.

Other Information:

-Most Cut Scenes are done in Japanese Animation and 3d Pre-rendered Cut Scenes.
-This games take place in 2040, making it the farthest installment in the AC Timeline.

Thanks Night Raven. I figure that it's about time that I get back out here and making more articles.

Now if we could include the actual ways of unlocking the top aircraft(JP version)...I've gotten "A"s on all the missions, and still don't have the X-45 or OSL on the simulator! GameFAQ isn't much of a help on this. Thanks, Brad

I know you can get it in the PAL/NTSC, but I don't think you can get it in the JP without a GameShark.

Easy, I've already beat the game through all five routes(alt missions too) on Ace/Very Hard mode(gameshark only, mean). You have to really read the secret/codes section of the first faq on gameFAQ. I did realize that I hadn't gotten all "A"s on hard and started over. It'll still be a challenge, especially having to play follow-the-leader with Dision. And since I still haven't found a AC3 Direct Audio CD, the only way to supposedly use the X-49 is with the gameshark. We'll see, Brad

Not a bad price. Since learning about this, I've only looked on a few sites. Thanks Night Raven, Brad

I've made another update. Not quite complete, though. Article links and other info section added.

I thought we were getting rid of all the damned zeros. It should be Ace Combat 3, not 03. tongue.gif
