GAMES FEATURED IN:
Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault
Operators:
Valahia Air Force
Golden Axe Private Army
OVERVIEW:
The Orgoi appears to be an oversized version of a B-2 Stealth Bomber with additional afterburning engines and extensive anti-aircraft defenses. Despite its size, the Orgoi is the first oversized aircraft to ever maneuverability similar to and exceeding a fighter aircraft's. The Orgoi is capable of most modern air combat maneuvers, including Barrels Rolls and Zoom Climbs. Though no energy weaponry is held on board, the anti-aircraft defenses it possesses make it a formidable opponent. It's primary weakness lies in its reliance on the four engines which propel it.
The Orgoi is first encountered by the Martinez Security company, Japanese Self Defense Forces and US Navy 7th Fleet during the attacks against Tokyo, Japan. The Orgoi single handedly performed the Valahia attack on Tokyo with little fighter cover. Despite its maneuverability, the Orgoi was shot down by Antares 1 of Martinez Security M24 Squadron.
This was not the end of the Orgoi design, however. Much later, after the destruction of the Valahia, three Orgoi high maneuverability fortresses were sent to halt the inteception mission, secretly being planned by elements of Martinez Security. The Orgoi, being a part of the Golden Axe Private Military, attacked this secret force while it resupplied at Midway Island before heading to the United States' Western Seaboard to halt the Golden Axe plan. The first Orgoi attempted to flatten the runway at Midway Island before the M24 Squadron could lift off, but was shot down by Antares One. Military resupply ships that were attempting to resupply the M24 Squadron were attacked by a second Orgoi while Midway was attacked by a third Orgoi. The two fortresses coordinated their attack by flying in tight formations and meshing their air defenses to stave off Antares One's attacks; a Thatch Weave-esque maneuver was also deployed as an evasive maneuver to dodge incoming fire. With the second Orgoi shot down, the thrid Orgoi unit performed various high speed, high-G maneuvers until it too was shot down over the Pacific.
Trivia:
Orgoi refers to the phoebus (bright), not confused with phobos.
Phoebus is another name for Apollo the god of sun.
