Su-35 "Flanker-E"
- Advanced Fighter -

Posted Image

Origin (Real World):
Russian Federation

Games Featured In:
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

Operators:
Russian Air Force

Ace Squadron Pilot(s):
Akula/RuAF (AC:AH)

Armaments:
Gun / x1 GSh-30-1
Missile / x2 R-60MK Aphid
XLAA / x6 KS-172
QAAM / x2 R-73 Archer

Overview:

The Su-35S is a modern Generation 4.5 upgrade to the Sukhoi "Flanker" air superiority fighter series. Built to equip the Russian Air Force as an interim upgrade in lieu of delivery of the 5th generation PAK FA, the Su-35S introduces an enormous group of upgrades to the Flanker line, including a hinged N035 passive electronically scanned array radar, OLS-35M infrared search and track sensor, thrust-vectoring 117S turbofan engines, and full multirole capability utilizing Sapsan-E or Damocles targeting pods. Deletion of the canards saves weight, decreases drag, and shrinks radar signature over the Su-35 prototype model, while advanced composites and alloys increase airframe life to 6,000 hours.

Okay... So, is it me, or that it is going to have an XLA6? Judging from the amount of 6 R-33s on it. Hope that it won't get bugged like the XMA4 on Su-33 in AC6.

And:

The cockpit of the Su-35BM, well, it's according to the photo description in FB anyways...

According to "The Shark" trailer, it's just called the Su-35 ingame.

Article summary written and format updated. The formatting was nothing short of hell replacing, but at least I know what's going on now. I wrote the summary from memory, so as of now there are no sources. I will need to get on that, and I will in the near future.

Note that I wrote this from a real-world perspective rather than a generic prospective like I tried to champion with the F-2 article. This was on purpose, since we are talking about the real world in this case. This might change in the future, however.

Okay, so, how should we call this one? Simply as Su-35 or leave it as Su-35BM?
