Overview


A Technical is a type of improvised fighting vehicle typically used by irregular armies who have few if any actual fighting vehicles. Technicals are a common sight in low intensity conflict zones. A Technical is generally depicted as pickup truck with a machine gun (or other support weapon) in the back but any vehicle civilian or military not designed for combat and fitted with weapons would be considered a technical. the term comes from Red Cross workers in Somalia who had to pay off fighters for protection. when asked were the money went they were told "technical expenses"
