Origin:

United States of America

Games Featured In:

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

Operators:
Task Force 108
United States Marine Corps

Ace Squadrons / Pilots:
Warwolf Squadron / TF108 (AC: AH)

Armament:
* Gun Pod / 1x 25mm GAU-22/A Gatling Gun
* Standard Missiles / AIM-9M Sidewinder
* QAAM / AIM-9X Sidewinder
* LAGM / AGM-88 HARM

Overview:
The Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II is an advanced multirole stealth fighter; the "Bravo" variant is the Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) version. It is intended to replace the United States Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier II, AV-8B Harrier II Plus (+), as well as the legacy F/A-18C & D Hornet(s). Similar in size to the Conventional Takeoff and Landing (CTOL) A model, the B sacrifices some internal fuel volume to make room for the vertical flight system. Takeoffs and landings with vertical flight systems are by far the riskiest, and in the end, a decisive factor in design. Like the Harrier II, the F-35Bs' gun will be carried in a ventral pod. Whereas the F-35A is stressed to 9g, the F-35B is stressed to 7g. Unlike the other variants, the F-35B has no landing hook; the "STOVL/HOOK" button in the cockpit initiates conversion from conventional flight to STOVL mode instead of dropping the hook.

Here's one thing I don't understand: why would they, like the HAWX idiots did, prefer the -B over the -A or -C?
It's the weakest of them in... well, basically everything, except for STOVL, which plays no part in an AC game.

So maybe they'll hopefully give what many Ace Combat fans have asked for, VTOL sequences possibly?

With helicopters being included, it's a possibility.

ACS is a anarchy where you can get away with any stupid comment, if you like ACS fine but you're wrong. No matter what logic you come up with. It is only "fun" in an online world were these conditions of anonymity exist and people can escape their lives and play alpha pseudo intellectual.
