OSEAN SELF-DEFENSE FORCE

Background:
The Osean Self Defense Forces are the premier land combat force in the Osean Defense Forces, specializing in capturing and holding territory with massive amounts of troops, supported by mechanized units. In the Circum-Pacific War, the OSDF was involved in every major ground combat operation, starting with the invasion of Yuktobania at the Bostok Peninsula, and would continue to push across the country, taking out oil fields and airbases, and eventually burst through Cruik Fortress on their way to Cinigrad. Later in the war, OSDF elements would fight each other in Belka, as one side attempted to get the Belkan nuclear weapon, and the other attempted to stop them.

OSDF Units:
1st Tank Battalion: (Bishop; Eagle & Hawk)
2nd Tank Battalion: (Black Knight; Bulldog; St. Bernard; Dachsund & Dalmatian)
3rd Tank Battalion: (Lynx)
[--] Tank Battalion(s): (Coblynau & Beagle)
[--] Howitzer Brigade (Dragonfly)
[--] Ferdelance Armored Brigade (Dragon?; King Cobra; Tarantula; Puff Adder; Mamba; Huntsman; Taipan; Python & Abel)

1st Airborne Battalion
122nd Airborne Division (ACZ)

* M167 Vulcan Air Defense System
* M-110 Howitzer
* M-270 MLRS

M60s and M2s aren't seen in the entire AC series except for ACX cutscenes, and AAV7 models are only used in AC04 and ACX. M270 and M110s are only seen in use by OPFORs (Yuke/Belkan), as well as VADS, Gepards, and HAWKs. The only Osean ground forces seen are M1 Abrams (missions 16A/B and mission 27) and M113s (...whatever the amphibious landing mission was).

IIRC, the Howitzer Brigade in Mission 16B had M110's. But I do agree, there isn't any M270's in any missions. Mission 09, Lit Fuse was the amphibious mission, and you forgot that Armor was used in Misson 18, Fortress.

Yeah, they were M1s in mission 18, too. I don't remember actually seeing the allied howitzers in 16B, but I'll check when I get home. Do you remember if they were in the north or south group?

I do recall a 101st Airbone Division in Ace Combat Zero... it was in a ton of articles on ES.info.

Hi everyone.

I was played it too. They refer to it as the 122nd Airborne Division during the briefing. But during the actual mission, they refer to it as the 101st. They never say 101st Airborne Division, so it could just be a subordinate unit, like the 101st Parachute Infantry Regiment, or some Osean Ace Combat equivelent.

Updated the format and added links to the ACZ and AC5 sites in the source section.

If making corrections to the article, DO NOT Change the format.

Are you sure that the OMC is a part of the OSDF?

They were most often seen operating off the OFS Kestrel, and I never heard them in the landing...

BTW, their official title is in fact the Osean Army. Throughout AC5 and ACZ, its repeatedly called such, and when Harling calls on the troops to stand down, he adresses them as "Commander-in-Chief of the Osean Army."
