Overview:
The M230 'Chain Gun' is a 30mm autocannon originally developed by Hughes, but is now manufactured by Alliant Techsystems for the AH-64 Apache and Apache Longbow helicopters. First developed in 1975, it remains the primary gun armament of the Apache fleet.
