For some reason Raptor R3D, it reminds me of the cutscene where Coldman's Hind fires on the mammal pod on the PW lol.

And don't forget Liquid's Hind from the 1st MGS.

Anyways, I was actually hoping for a GSh-30 cannon instead, but well... I think a Yak-B suffices for m.

Oh, and this might not be too important, but the proper writing is Yak-B.

Edits made.

Well personally for me, when it comes to gatling guns, I generally prefer western designs. (i.e. M61 Vulcan, M134, etc.)

Well, for me, as long as they have a big calibre (M61, Yak-B (it's a .50)), they do suffice. I however, would prefer to get an Mi-24P with a 30mm cannon instead (Even if it can't rotate like the ones with .50 cal. minigun). I have to admit that I love Eastern weapons more as they usually are more powerful than the western counterparts.

True. Although designs like the GAU-8 and GAU-12 pack greater punch than the Vulcan, unfortunately they're just not as widespread (as far as fighters are concerned) as the venerable M61.

Yeah, but they also pack alot more recoil than the M61, and it might not be tolerable by the airframe of a Helicopter. Even a GAU-8 on strong plane like A-10C can't be used in a level fight as it will stall out the plane.

Nah. The Mi-24A (And Mi-8s) are armed with Afanasyev HMG and not a Yak-B. And the Afanasyev is not a Gatling gun, but rather a typical HMG. Unless IW went stupid and make it sound like a Gatling gun.

You mean Treyarch. IW didn't do BO.

BO's gatling guns sound absolutely nothing like their real life counterparts. And yeah, Treyarch gave their Afanasyev their stock "gatling" sound, which in my opinion sounds more like a shitty golf cart getting revved up.

A good sound would be that of an similar weapon, like the GAU-19, which you can see here, except it would be twice as fast

How about this then?

Really? I'm sorry then.

But I can't hear anything. All I can hear is a music which is... Not kind of fit to put into a video like dat.

I'm pretty sure of it. Namco's staffs seem to care pretty well about accuracy on details of the object that they feature in their games.

Just a heads up, the Assault Horizon Hind is armed with a GSh-30-2 autocannon, not a Yak.
