Overview:
This Boeing E-767 is a modified 767-200 airliner converted into an AWACS (Airborne Warning And Control System) platform for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The E-767 was the result of the JASDF ordering an AWACS platform, only to find out that the 707 production line had ended before an order could be made. The 767 was instead choosen as the AWACS platform for the JASDF. The E-767 currently remains in service.
