Overview:
The BM-30 Smerch (Tornado) is a Russian designed mobile multiple rocket launcher. First developed in the early 1980s, the Smerch entered service in 1989; it was first observed by the west in 1983 where it was code named the MRL 280mm M1983. A flexible system, it is capable of engaging a wide range of targets from command posts, to ammunition depots. The BM-30 is expected to be replaced by the 9A52-4 Smerch-S.

I get the distinct feeling that Namco has something against 8x8 trucks. First the S-300 and now this inexplicably get non-existent 6x6 forms in the trailers.

Not really, Alot of games like World in Conflict has vehicles that are accurately modeled and have no license over their names. Project Aces is being lazy as usual.
