Overview:
Designed to complement the older Mirage 2000D, this two-seater version of the Rafale is mainly oriented for strike missions and air to ground operations. The Rafale B is identical to the Rafale M and Rafale C in performance specifications and payload. Optional conformal fuel tanks can also be fitted to the fighter which can expand fuel capacity and range.

The Rafale design achieves minimum weight and volume structure to hold minimum cost; thin, mid-mounted delta wing with moving canards; individual fixed, kidney-shaped intakes without shock cones, and integrated systems and engines to provide ideal operating costs for this 4.5 Generation fighter.
