Not really. The prototype has existed in 1990, even though the plane itself is the 2006 version of it.

There's a allied squadron in the Moscow mission who flies Mi-24s (Osa Squadron x4 Mi-24V).

Eh... The Mi-24 in AH uses GSh-23L, right? Wouldn't it make the helicopter an Mi-24VP variant instead of Mi-24V?
