I love that pic of the KC-10 crashing and the F-16CM somehow surviving the chaos lol.

The screenshots look like something out of Split/Second. Really goes to show you how far Ace Combat has gone since 1992.

I played that game too. Yeah, kinda hard to believe that you have to drive below a C-5A that is going down in a same fashion as that KC-10. So crazy and heart-pumping

I dunno if I ever asked this, but seeing as tankers are denoted by a "K" (like how transports are denoted by a "C" for Cargo), what does the K stand for? Is it Kerosene since that's what most aircraft run on today and that's what tankers supply?

It is likely that the K derived from Kerosene or TanKer.

Also a quote from another forum

Quote

Most sources indicate under the 1962 designation system which formalized its use, "K" came from "Kerosene Tanker".

However, USAF personnel being trained in the KC-135 inevitably asked their instructors why "K" is used and the apocryphal response emerges: "if you take the word TANKER and consider that every other damned letter was already used (T for trainers, A for Attack, etc) what the f*ck would you do then? Next silly question..."

In that case, whenever you plan to upload these screenshots to Acepedia, I suggest that you first remove the black borders and increase their quality with Photoshop.
