Usea Today Special: The Days of Shattered Skies

The Usean Continental War is over. The devastation that was brought upon by the Ulysses 1994XF04 Asteroid, which in turn led to the invasion by Erusian Forces who used the Anti-Asteroid Cannon 'Stonehenge' in a fierce assault, quickly taking the entire continent. Erusea controlled almost all of Usea for an entire year, but was eventually pushed back by a miraculous counterattack orchestrated by the ISAF forces, who concentrated their remaining forces into a single combat force. Furthermore, with the destruction of Stonehenge, which had given Erusea control over the skies of Usea, due to a tactical air strike, the tide turned in ISAF's favor, eventually resulting in their victory. At the end of hostilities, the causality count (Wounded and Deaths) of both Ulysses and the Continental War was over 20 million. The people of Usea have suffered greatly during this time of War and Disaster.

An ISAF Infantry platoon after the Battle of Whiskey Corridor; The Iruzari River is to the North. The Unit has been forced to walk 30 Kilometers to the staging area, using camels, after the loss of their APCs.

The landing force of the ISAF troops have landed on the beach. After the landing, Crowne Beach started experiencing rough weather, some of the worst conditions a battle has been fought in.

Rigley Air Force Base has been recaptured by ISAF in order to act as a forward base for ISAF advances. A large number of aircraft have been sent to Rigley, to strengthen the numbers.

"My daughters had decided to turn of the power at 8 o'clock, despite the fact that Stonehenge uses its own electricity. When an announcement was made that it there was a State of the Art electrical facility to power the thing, we misunderstood; perhaps it was a cover . But it was probably to make us think that were doing everything to help them. We thought we were saving the world, at least that's what I believed." - An Erusian Civilian and Parent.

A contribution by an Erusian citizen. The Stonehenge's construction cost was collected in other ways, fund-raising from ordinary citizens other than Normal taxes. Sent with a receipt and proof of purchase, the "paper Stonehenge" became very popular.



"Minutemen"


We experienced two tragedies nearly simultaneously. It went beyond race or nationality, effecting all. But those of us who overcome these hardships, be they our former enemies or our allies, will be the ones who rebuild our continent. Now, we forever live in respect of those who gave their lives for our freedom. We will remember our comrades who gave their lives , as their sacrifice will be the foundation for future peace.
