- Site of the Largest Air Battle in Usean History (Circa 2004), First Space Combat Mission Launch, Home of the only Space Combat Unit, Development Area of the XB-10, the first facility to use the SSTO Launch System.

The Comona Islands are home of the Usean Space Programs. The Comona Islands are off the South-Eastern coast of the Usean Continent.

During the Usean Coupe de' tat in 1998, a Rebellious military force had began siezing cities and facilities across the Usean Continent. One of these Facilities happened to be the first Comona Island Space Center in the Comona Islands. Here the Rebel Forces had taken control of a Launch Pad capable of launching Space Shuttles, a large Storage Area and a SSTO Launch Facility. During an Air Strike made by the Usean Government's Scar Face Task Force (SFTS), the Launch Pad and much of the Hangar Area was destroyed. In one of the Hangars a Super-Heavy Long Ranged Bomber Aircraft was sighted and destroyed by the SFTS. This Aircraft model was confirmed as the XB-10. A Second XB-10 would be sighted during the closing days of the war, but shot down soon after. The Space Facility taken over by the Usean Rebels was repaired after the war and continued to operate normally.

1998 - Ace Combat 2

The Usean Government created a second Space Launch Facility on another island within the Comona Islands which had a better operational capability than the first one.

The Independent State Allied Forces, fighting to stop the advancement of Erusea, a country on Western end of the Usean Continent then used the second Comona Island Space Center for the first time in two years on December 31st, 2004 to launch a Military Satellite into orbit. During the countdown to launch a large Erusian Air Group was moved in to destroy the Rocket before it had a chance to launch. The ISAF sent every aircraft they could into the area. The ensuing Air Battle had became known as the largest Air Battle in Usean History, which resulted in the launch of the ISAF Satellite and the beginning of the ISAF Offensive which would end the war.

2004 - Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies

Many decades later, Neucom Inc., once a Usean Governmental Company under a different name, had bought the first Comona Island Launch Facility, which was in operational for sometime and Islands near it in the Island Chain. There they had modified the existing Space Facility. The Riass Space Center, as it was renamed, had become one of the largest Space Launch and Recovery Centers on the planet. It consisted of the Launch Area on the southern end of the island and the Recovery Runways on the Northern-tip of the island.

2040 - Ace Combat 03: Electrosphere

In 2040, the center was raided by Forces from a rival company known as General Resource. The raid was unsuccessful and the Neucom Shuttle scheduled to launch that day had entered space safely. A day later the shuttle had re-entered the atmosphere and the facility was attacked once again by General Resource Forces. The shuttle had brought back information on four Orbital Satellite Lasers which General Resource had built and were soon to be operational. The Launch of an R-352 Sepia Space Fighter had taken place the next day, and destroyed the satellites. This was the first and thus far, only Space Combat Mission ever launched.
