GeoFront
- Gulf of St. Ark, USEA

Image A - Image B - Image C - Image D

The Geo Front is the world’s first sub-terrain (under ground) City. This is not an understatement, the entire Geo Front is the size of a city on the surface and operates in the same manner. Transportation in and out of the Geo Front is mainly taken on by Air Transports through the main Air Ducts in the Geo Front’s access walls. Geo Front was built as a replacement for the city of St. Ark which was destroyed by asteroid fragments before 2040.

Tunnel Vision / Sole Survivor (Neucom Inc)
After destroying the UI-4053 Sphynra before it left the wreckage of Megafloat, Nemo and Fiona as a part of Neucom Emergency Unit pursued the X-49 Night Raven and UI-4054 Aurora as they fled into the near by Geofront. Fiona and Nemo navigated the Geofront tunnel systems until they reached the core of the Geofront. Because of the presence of Aeon Generators, the X-49 Night Raven was almost impossible to combat because of the increased X-49 combat performance. With the help of NEU Scientist, Simon Ostres, the X-49's flight controls were temporarily hacked allowing it to be shot down. Soon after wards, Abyssal Dision and the UI-4054 engaged the two fighters, but was also shot down.

Geofront (General Resource LTD.)
After destroying the UI-4053 before it left the wreckage of Megafloat, Keith and Nemo of the General Resource Defense Force, followed the X-49 Night Raven into the Geofront and employed a plan to destroy the Geofront along with the X-49. After destroying multiple pillars within the Geofront and activating the city's self-destruct mechanism. The X-49 was badly damaged, but managed to escape.

Japan does has an extensive underground network of structure looking familiar or inspired by the so called Geofront design, which are popular in Japanese anime/fiction.

It would be interesting to see Japan adopt underground dwellings over population issues, then again the subject is a matter of debate due to geological activity of Japan region, following earthquakes, floods, etc...

I have no idea what Darker than Black is. Feel to share an image of how it looks like?

Small problem... I just watched a bit of two episodes on TV, never got the whole story or where the hell they were fighting (yes, they were fighting in there). I plan on watching it fully soon, I'll post it here when I see it again.

Exposure has always been an issue... I'm sure technology is advance enough to make underground dewlling practical if focused on that field.
